There have been mixed news from two major LNG projects in Australia,
with more weld quality issues at Gorgon and the restart of Prelude FLNG.
Preparing to start
A floating regasification unit has arrived on site for Ghana’s first LNG import
terminal, with commercial operations scheduled to start this quarter.
Spending spree
New Fortress Energy is acquiring LNG and power-generating assets in
Brazil, as well as another company, Golar LNG.
Closing talks
Australia’s Squadron Energy is striving to close talks with potential
customers for its LNG import project at Port Kembla in New South Wales.
