The Urine Dipstick

• Uses reagent strips to test urine for a number of substances

• Keep strips in a cool dry area

• Never remove them from the container until ready to test

• Examine the strips for discoloration

• Check the expiration date

• Always run a control sample when opening a new supply

• Write the date opened
