How do you let loose when your projected persona is all about unsmiling perfection? If you’reVictoria Beckham, you spice it up with a splash of color and party- ready ’70s-style suits that suggest you’ve got it together but you’re not above hitting the dance floor—just like the Brit herself.
Tailoring is what Beckham does best, so it’s no surprise that suiting, trench coats, and outer- wear are highlights of her new Resort 2020 collection. Save for a stand-out-in-the-crowd emerald-green velvet pantsuit with black peak lapels, every high-waisted, flared-legged pantsuit could be worn from the office to the red carpet to the club. Slinky silk dresses with equestrian prints are mostly demure, save for ultra-high slits paired with electric-blue and neon-orange peep-toe, thigh- high heels.
