Opera Modesto’s Story Into Spring Literacy Initiative Double-bill of one act operas:
Tell Tale Heart by Stewart Copeland and Annabel by Deborah Kavasch and Linda Bunney-Sarhad was a
huge success. Performed at The State Theatre on January 14th and 15th, it brought two works of Edgar Al-
lan Poe to life on the stage. The operas were also seen by almost 2000 local middle school and high school
students at a special “Readers’ Performances” to huge acclaim. Thank you to all of our audience members,
performers, and supporters. We couldn’t have done it without you.
