I’ve learned both the easy and hard way that life is a scale. It tests us to see if we can handle
balancing our academic, social, and personal lives. Will we succumb to one or the other? Or will
we prevail and manage to fry the last of our brain cells to, at least try to, keep them all on the
same priority level? Choueifat most definitely taught me the latter. The extent of what my sanity
can handle for 13 years has most certainly been tested, and I can assure anyone who is reading
this that if they can survive and graduate from ISC DXB, if they can go through all the hardships of
exams every day and stress every hour, if they can somehow balance focus and fun to get through
the years, they can most certainly survive the outside world.

13 years in the school and the one thing I learned was that failing was inevitable and that life
sucks. However, in a movie about a man going through life with Christian Bale as lead actor and
with Michael Caine as his butler in the movie, Alfred (Michael) said that we fall down to learn
pick ourselves back up. That quote really showed me that the human spirit is tough enough to
overcome any trials. Having said that, I realized years later that the movie is pure fiction and that
Batman is not real. The message, however, is still strong within me and that the moral of this
message is that it’s ok to fail and that we should push on with life. Shout out to my ThiCc BoiS btw.
