                                               PROTECTING AND STORING ROPE


                                                Seizing
                       For the following method, it’s possible to use small string (also used for
                       whipping). The following diagrams show larger rope for purposes of
                       clarity.


                       1  Make a Constrictor Knot around both ropes, leaving one end of the
                          string long enough to make the seizing. Make many wraps for a
                          distance of at least two rope diameters.






















                       2  When the last wrap is made, tuck the string between the ropes and
                          proceed to make exactly two frapping turns.
