We Must Be Secure in Ourselves: In Who We Are

Having goals helps formulate who we are

because we are reaching for something higher,
so that we have more to OFFER others.

In my coaching sessions, I speak about our 7 human needs that we all

must have filled — at least to a good extent — at least say 60–75%. The
top need is security.

If we don't have security, we don’t have much to OFFER.

Like love, this is another blessing that should be received from God. If

we try to manufacture our own security, we will eventually find
ourselves failing. This is especially true for most of us as we get older,

and as we approach the reality of death. We all lose some strength we
had in youth. We all grow older.

Living in the security that comes from God,
nothing on earth shakes us as much.

God’s presence strengthens us more.
When ‘Jesus is our peace,’ we have more to OFFER.

Let’s look at all 7 of these human needs very briefly. As I said, the first is
security. I won’t discuss them as I do in the free booklet I wrote that I’ll

give you a link to after I list these 7 needs.

1-Security is the first need we have

2-Spontaneity: freedom to be ourselves
3-Significance: self worth, respect and honor

4-Love: we’ve been talking about this
5-Increase: growing and maturing in our lives

6-Overflow: helping other people, like with love
