minded: letting life speak for itself, and not trying to ‘deduce’ what they

think it means in their own life experience.

The Apostle Paul says not to mix spiritual things with natural things. But
this is exactly what we do in our deductive thinking.

Other people were and are more collective in their thought patterns,
and not so individualistic and self-focused. Psychology even goes so far
as to call us narcissistic today.

Material Minded. This one is one we hear a lot about. We base life

on material things here in the west: houses, cars, money, boats, and
               everything else like this similar.

Other folks are more intuitive and mystical in their thinking, and are not
as caught-up with material things as most of us seem to be.

Reactive Minded. We think of fighting instead of responding to

others. We are combative in our thoughts. As a lawyer, I use to have a
plaque in my office: “Sue the bums!” Former people were much more
accepting, forgiving, responsive and loving than we are in our modern,

western world. WE don’t want to concede to anyone, but are ready to

               compete with anyone.

We would rather ‘fight than switch,’ as the old commercial said about

cigarettes. We’d rather have conflict than make minor changes in
ourselves that would make everyone else’s life better.

Dogmatic Minded. This means stating our opinions and beliefs very
positively as though they were absolute fact. Anyone who disagrees

with us is wrong. In our way of thinking A+B must always equal C. We
think if we do something good, then other people are obligated to us

and must do something positive in their response.

We live in a ‘cause and effect’ type of mindset – and we are always the

cause that wants to project the effect we want onto other people. We
