Counseling Program Statement of Purpose & Goals
As a vital part of the Padua Franciscan High School community and educational mission, the primary purpose of the Counseling Department is to assist students to realize their full potential in their lives in and beyond high school. Grounded in the belief that professional school counselors are rst and foremost advocates for students, the Counseling Department provides a comprehensive school counseling program to enhance the aca- demic, career, and personal-social skill develop- ment of all students.
We encourage self-understanding and self-awareness coupled with sound decision-making skills. Through collaborative partnering with parents and guardians, school sta , and other educational professionals, Padua Franciscan’s professional school counselors facilitate academic success while fostering the personal and spiritual growth of every student.

• To provide personal counseling for all students.
• To act as liaison between students, faculty and parents.
• To provide a forum for faculty and students.
• To furnish information concerning colleges, nancial aid, scholarships and application deadlines to students and their families.
• To assure the orderly scheduling of students for the academic year.
