Bruins Volunteer at Browns Adapted Football League Practice
Padua Football players and coaches helped bring smiles to the faces of more than 100 Adapted Football League athletes throughout the summer of 2016 at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville.
Each week, athletes spent 90 minutes rotating through a number of di erent stations that gave them experience with training camp-type drills. e children interacted with several Bruins and Browns players, sta members, and Achievement Centers for Children employees.
e Cleveland Browns Adapted Football League, established in 2011, provides children with disabilities the opportunity to par- ticipate in an organized, competitive, and developmental sport. It is the rst competitive, adapted football program in Ohio that enables school-aged children and young adults with physical and/or cognitive disabilities to develop the skills necessary to play football competitively.
