Serve Others in
Northeast Ohio
An essential pillar of the mission at Padua is to care for others. Six juniors responded to the
call to help alumnus Fr. Greg Olzewski ’79 by being the pallbearers for his mother’s funeral at St. Mary’s Berea and Holy Cross Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers was very meaningful for the students. ey found the experience to be very
moving and thought it was an honor to help the Olzewski family during such a di cult time.
Almost every Wednesday, students travel to St. Francis School in Cleveland to help with the A er-School program, which involves tutoring and assisting students with home- work. Padua has had a partnership with the school for more 20 years. It was established as a part of Bishop Anthony Pilla’s “Church in the City Initiative.”
