Pink Windows

The earliest record of pink tinted window cars started in 2001 with the #149 Police car
and then again in 2003 in the Dragon Wagon Series, on the #67 Lincoln Continental
convertible. Then in 2009, and continuing through 2012, a considerable number of
cars appeared with pink tinted windows instead of the intended clear windows ver-
sion. So, the hunt was on. Some collectors call them errors, and some call them vari-
ations. We would like to think of them as variation-errors. The big question is, how
did this happen? There are a few theories out there, but the two most plausible
ones are that (1) a small amount of red plastic pellets were inadvertently mixed
with clear pellets, or (2) the machines were not cleaned properly before mixing
the clear plastic to make the windows, with both theories leading to windows
having a pink hue to them. Whatever the case, this makes for an opportunity
to use this list to collect a unique group of vehicles, or just another variation of
a particular casting you enjoy collecting. We would like to thank all the fellow
collectors that helped put this list together. This list may not be complete, but
