APPRECIATION MATTERS!
Catherine Crusade
Do you have any 2023 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Dependent
Care Assistance Program (DCAP) reimbursements that have not been
submitted yet? Time is running out; you have until March 31, 2024, to
file 2023 reimbursement requests with Flexible Benefit Administrators
(FBA). Any 2023 reimbursements that are not filed by this deadline will
no longer be eligible for reimbursement.
To honor County employees and foster a culture of appreciation, the
Human Resources Department promotes the celebration of three
national annual events:
Employee Appreciation Day: first Friday in March
Public Service Recognition Week: first week of May
Customer Service Week: first week of October
Employee Appreciation Day (EAD) 2024 falls on Friday, March 1, 2024, and is fast approaching so
please calendar one or more of the following events:
2/7/2024 at noon: “Appreciation Matters” webinar was presented by Catherine Crusade,
Employee Engagement Manager. Click HERE for video.
Date TBD: Fireside Chat interview with our CAO, Sonia De la Rosa
Tuesday, 2/27/2024, Board of Supervisors’ Meeting-Supervisor Church will present a EAD
Resolution to our CAO, Sonia De La Rosa
Friday, 3/1/2024:
Better Up Coaching will present a 30-minute webinar from 12:00 to 12:30 pm on the
connection between appreciation/gratitude and health.
Be on the lookout for “messages of appreciation” recorded by each member of the Board of
Supervisors and emailed to all employees.
EAD messages will be posted to the Human Resources Department social media sites:
Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
Let's take a moment to come together and celebrate our accomplishments in the workplace. This is
also a great opportunity to reflect on our individual strengths and express appreciation for our
colleagues who make our work environment a positive place.
