academy. I worked during the week at my regular job and attended the police academy every weekend. That’s
right, no days off for an entire year! It’s quite ironic that here we are some 30-years later, and I will be retiring
from my original inspiration, the bailiff unit.
Can you share some of the most significant professional accomplishments or milestones from your career
that you are particularly proud of?
Over the past 30 years, I have accomplished quite a bit. This is not even everything! Just some of the highlights.
I have been with the Sheriff’s office for a total of 30 years. In different rolls and capacities.
2-Years Reserve Patrol Deputy
5-Years Deputy Sheriff-Corrections
15-Years Correctional Sergeant assigned to all teams/shifts.
5-Years Compliance/Program Sergeant
3-Years Court Services Sergeant
Creator of the Monterey County Jail’s Compliance unit.
Created, and recreated nearly every form used in our Jail.
Creator of the Intranet website used 24 hours a day in Corrections.
TrackNet Administrator (from the preplanning stages to full implementation)
Telmate Administrator (from the preplanning stages to its full implementation)
Telestaff Administrator (from the preplanning stages to its full implementation)
Wincams Administrator (Jail Maintenance request submittal application)
Jail SharePoint Administrator
Member of the original jail expansion team
Lexipol for Corrections administrator
Liaison to the Board of State and Community Corrections (biannual facility inspections)
Liaison to the State Fire Marshal (Biannual fire inspections)
Liaison to County Council regarding the Hernandez vs Monterey County lawsuit.
