P. 43
If God gave Israel the Law, they why could they not be saved by keeping the Law. In reality, they could
have been saved by keeping the Law, because by keeping the entire Law, they would have been perfect,
without sin. However, this was impossible, since they all inherited a nature to sin from their father,
Adam. In keeping only a part of the Law, they fell short.
Galatians 2:16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So
we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works
of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law
is the knowledge of sin.
Finally, God used all the details of the Mosaic Law to illustrate how redemption would be accomplished.
The tabernacle and all the implements and practices demonstrated who the Messiah would be and how
He would redeem His people from their sins. Let’s look at a few details.
