Let’s get Personal…
Activity: One of the difficulties in using the KJV Bible is that the English words have changed significantly
since its translation. While it is certainly a beautiful translation of the Bible, we just don’t speak that
way anymore. How many times to you walk up to someone and say, “Thee look nice today?” We don’t
use words anymore like “thee, thou, wot, filthy lucre, implead, haply, gainsay, ensample, broid or
bewray.” There are more than 500 words that the modern English speaker would not even know what
they mean!
