Rev. 21: 23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has
illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

WITNESSING NOTE: How do you explain that the early Jewish Christians—who were clearly
committed to the Shema in Deut. 6:4 – had no scruple about applying to Jesus many of the OT texts
that were originally written in reference to Yahweh?

               2. Matthew 28:19
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the
               Son and the Holy Spirit,

               NWT is same…

The indefinite article “the” is used to stress the identity of an individual. Also, it is critical to note that
the word “name” is singular in the Greek text, indicating there is ONE God, but three distinct persons
within the Godhead – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This indicates plurality within unity.

This also occurs in Genesis 1:26 where God says, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”
These are plural pronouns. Again, in Gen 11:7 God said “Come, let us go down and there confuse their
language” using a plural pronoun to refer to a singular God. In Isaiah 6:8, God said, “who will go for
us?” These are plural pronoun referring to a singular God.

In the upper room, Jesus spoke of the three persons of the Trinity. He said to the disciples, “And I will as
the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom
the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him.” (John 14-16-17)

John 14:26 Jesus also said “the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will
teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

WITNESSING NOTE: Do you agree that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each called God in the New
Testament? (he will answer NO.) Then can you read these verses to me out loud and slowly:

I Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit,
unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him (Jesus), My Lord and my God.

Acts 5:3-4 But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep
back part of the price of the land? While it remained, was it not your own? and after it was sold, was it
not in your own power? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied unto men,
               but unto God.

Can we agree that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all involved in doing the works of deity?
Can anyone other than God do the works of deity? (example, raise people from the dead, calm
storms, multiply food, bring sight to the blind, instantly kill a person who lies to them, etc.).
