For Jesus Christ, the Millennial Kingdom will be the reward given Him by His Father, for His obedient and
sacrificial death on the cross. It will be the time when Jesus will be glorified as King of kings and Lord of
lords here on earth. He will finally receive the kingdom which was denied Him at the time of His
crucifixion. Thus, Jesus will finally experience a long-awaited goal.
For the Church of Jesus Christ, the Millennial Kingdom will also be a highlight of history. The Church is
the bride of Jesus Christ. The Church is committed to be His helper, as He receives this glorious position,
and He rules in righteousness here on earth. The Church will have the privilege of helping Jesus right all
the wrongs and injustices here on earth. Jesus is a Jewish King and in the Millennial Kingdom He will
finally be able to fulfill His destiny in reigning on earth in righteousness.
Let us be careful, as the Church of Jesus Christ, to value what our Bridegroom values. We should greatly
anticipate His fulfillment and glorious reign over all the earth. Let us give the Nation of Israel their
rightful place as God’s chosen people. Let us celebrate the Jewish heritage and rightful inheritance of
our Bridegroom.
The Release of Satan and Gog and Magog.
7
Revelation 20: 7-9 When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his
8
prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and
Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And
9
they came up on thebroad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city,
and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
The duplicated use of the names Gog and Magog in Revelation
20:8-9 is to show that these people demonstrate the same
rebellion against God and antagonism toward God as those
in Ezekiel 38-39 where God and Magog are first mentioned. It is
similar to someone today calling a person "the devil" because
he or she is sinful and evil. We know that person is not really
Satan, but because that person shares similar characteristics,
he or she might be referred to as "the devil."
The book of Revelation uses Ezekiel’s prophecy about Magog to
portray a final end-times attack on the nation of Israel
(Revelation 20:8-9). Satan is able to rally the nations to gather
together with the audacity to believe that they can battle the King Jesus. Again, this convergence is
located in Israel. It will not be much of a battle, as the rebellion is destroyed by the Word of Christ. The
result of this battle is that all are destroyed by fire from heaven, and Satan will find his final place in the
lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).
