The city of Jerusalem will be the center of the government.

Isaiah 2:3 (NIV84)3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law
will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Because Jesus will be the ultimate judge the whole world will be at peace.

Isaiah 2:4 (NIV84)4 He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will
beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword
against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

The omniscient Jesus Christ will judge in perfect righteousness.

Isaiah 11:3–5 (NIV84)3 and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with
his eyes or decide by what he hears with his ears; 4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with
               justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. 5 Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the
               sash around his waist.

Jesus Christ, who is a descendant of David, will reign, and David himself will be given a leadership role as
               a regent.

Jeremiah 30:9 (NIV84)9 Instead, they will serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will
               raise up for them.

Ezekiel 37:24–25 (NIV84)24 “ ‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one
shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. 25 They will live in the land I gave
to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s
children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever.

God’s promise that there will be a descendent of David on the throne of Israel forever includes the
Millennial Kingdom and the Kingdom on the New Earth. God’s promise of the land with specific
boundaries belonging to the Nation of Israel forever includes the Millennial Kingdom and the New Earth.
When God reforms the earth and makes it new, the specified land will still belong to the Nation of Israel.

The twelve apostles will have leadership roles over the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 19:28 (NIV84)28 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the
Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging
               the twelve tribes of Israel.

Jesus Christ will rule with a rod of iron, meaning that He will enforce righteousness.

Psalm 2:9 (NIV84)9 You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

Revelation 2:27 (NIV84)27 ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter; he will dash them to pieces like
pottery’— just as I have received authority from my Father.
