The Millennial Kingdom is a period of 1000 years, during which our Lord Jesus Christ will rule on this
earth. He will rule in righteousness and will fulfill to the Jews and to the rest of the world the promises
He made in the Old Testament covenants.

The Davidic Covenant (2 Samuel 7:8-16) amplifies the “seed” aspect of the Abrahamic Covenant. The
promises to David in this passage are significant. God promised that David’s lineage would last forever
and that his kingdom would never pass away permanently (verse 16). King David received a promise
from God that his son shall sit on his throne for all eternity. Christ’s second coming to rule and reign is
the beginning of the fulfillment of this promise. God always keeps His word!

Christ will rule for 1000 years on the thrown of David. Let’s see what it will be like during this time…

The Beginning of the Millennial Kingdom

At the end of the Tribulation Period, Satan will be bound in the Abyss for the entire time of the
               Millennium (Rev. 21:1-3)

Revelation 20:1–3 (NIV84)1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss
and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or
Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it
over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After
that, he must be set free for a short time.

Saints who died during the Tribulation period will be resurrected with glorified bodies to reign with
               Christ (Revelation 20:4-6).
