Activity: Have you ever given some good advice to someone, only to find out that they did not
take your advice, but did that opposite which led to disaster in their life? Sometimes people
come to me for financial advice. I give them verses from God’s Word that would guide them in
their financial decisions and encourage them to apply them in the situation they are in. But
sometimes they reject my advice and go into debt and have to live with great financial
difficulties. If they just would listen, things could have been totally different.

Has this happened to you? What did you feel like when you gave that person good advice and they
refused to heed it? Now you know on a small scale what Isaiah felt like in preaching to the Children of
Israel in his time!
