We know from the history books that Satan have waged war on the earth since the beginning
of creation. Great rulers have left in their wake thousands of dead soldiers and brought misery
to those they seek to conquer. If you look around today, sometimes you might think that
Satan is winning the war against God. After all, there is so much evil in our world. Many
people are starving and hungry. Governments wage war on other governments. Our political
leaders are corrupt and mistreat others. Millions of men, women, and children suffer
persecution for their faith in Christ. It just does not seem to be fair. Where is God and why does He
allow Satan to have such a great influence on what is going on?

Let’s let Isaiah answer these questions today. One thing we will discover is that God is in control and
               knows what He is doing….

5.3 Chapter 11 - Main Idea: The perfect future reign of Jesus Christ is described.

In the United States we have presidential elections every four years. Every four years since the
founding of our nation, candidates for president have made promises that were not kept.
Sometimes, through no fault of their own because the president cannot do it all. Still, they make
                      promises.

Throughout history, people have sought the perfect society and the perfect government to rule it. It will
               never happen in this world.

Promises made by politicians will be broken. But the promises of our Lord and Savior are true.

               V. 1 More prophecy concerning the coming Messiah, which of course is a promise kept. The stem or the
stump of Jesse refers to King David’s father. David was promised that his descendant would always be
