the fury of [God’s] wrath” (Revelation 16:19) will be delivered, and the Antichrist and his followers will
be overthrown and defeated. He will be the first one to be cast into the Lake of Fire, reserved for those
who rebel against God.

The battle will be massive, covering most all of Israel. Revelation 14:20 says the blood in the valley will
reach a depth of four feet (the height of a horse’s bridle). “All the birds” will be “filled” with the flesh of
the battlefield (Revelation 19:21) and it will take seven months to bury the dead and seven years to rid
the earth of all the weapons which gathered by the nations (Ezekiel 39:8-16).

“Armageddon” has become a general term that refers to the end of the world, not exclusively to the
battle that takes place in the plain of Megiddo.
