The Betrayal of Israel.
Both Daniel and the book of Revelation contain prophecies that point to the revival of the Roman
Empire as the world’s next superpower (Daniel 2:40-45, 7:23-25; Rev. 13: 1,7) A united Europe will be
an economic, political, and military colossus on the transformed world state once the prophesied global
dictator rises to seize power in Europe. We see each of the major players in these end time prophecies
               moving into its appointed places!

After the Third Temple is built, the Holy of Holies will once again house the Ark of the Covenant. The ark
is a profound symbol to the Jews and a guarantee of God’s unbreakable covenant with Israel. The
presence of the Ark also will factor into the evil that will be brought about by the Antichrist during the
               Tribulation period.

According to Daniel 9, the Antichrist will violate his seven-year treaty with Israel after 3 ½ years. He will
stop the daily sacrifices and enter into the Holy of Holies. 2 Thess. describes him as one “who opposeth
and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” The Antichrist will defile the Temple by entering into it,
sitting on the mercy seat, and offering the sacrifice of a pig, splattering the blood on the walls of the
               Holy of Holies.

This defilement of the Holy Place is so abominable
that the wrath of God will instantly be poured out
on Jerusalem. Jesus said, “When ye therefore shall
see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso
readeth, let him understand:) then let them which
be in Judaea flee into the mountains…For then
shall be great tribulation, such as was not since
the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor
ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:15-16, 21). At that
point in time, Israel will recognize that Antichrist is
               a false messiah.

The Antichrist, sometime in the middle of all this, will receive a wound to his head and be killed. (Rev.
13:3). But before the eyes of the world – probably watched by billions on the Internet, CNN, and other
media sources, raises from the dead and convinces the world that he is the world’s messiah. He will
consolidate his control of the world economically by forcing every person on earth to receive a mark of
loyalty on their foreheads or right hands. Those who reject the mark will be forced to go underground
to escape being beheaded by the forces of the Antichrist (Rev. 20:4).

From that point on, Israel will be the subject of Antichrist’s greatest wrath. Rev. 12:17 says that “the
dragon was wroth (enraged) with the woman (Israel; the people of Israel), and went to make war with
the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus
               Christ.”

“And to the Woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into
her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the Serpent.”
(Revelation 12:14) It is evident that Jews will flee to a place of protection from the Antichrist and that a
remnant will be saved through this period of time.
