of nature (or the gods and goddesses personifying them) then begin to bring about the cosmic changes
which developed the world into its present form.
In the presences of all of these other systems of thought Genesis does not attempt to refute or argue
against them. It does not speak in any way to the contradiction with its claim. The Genesis account is
silent in regards to the stark contrast we see today. This could be because the Genesis account was
written before the other systems developed. The others were written later to refute and combat the
accurate account in Genesis.
Col 1:16 “…for in Him (Jesus Christ) all things were created, in the heavens and upon the earth, all things
visible or things invisible, whether thrones or dominions, principalities or powers; all things have been
created through Him and for Him.”
The Bible says everything in the universe, everything that exists, whether you're talking about galaxies,
or whether you're talking about nebulae or solar systems, whether you're talking about those things
that are at the farthest reaches of the universe in space, or whether you're talking about the smallest
grain of sand, or whether you're talking about a bacterial microbe on the planet earth, absolutely
everything was created by God. He is the creator of all things visible and invisible, and “all things” means
everything from various ranks of angels, every form of life from whales and elephants to viruses. All
things include every form of energy, every form of matter, the speed of light, nuclear structure,
electromagnetism, gravity, every piece of DNA, every atom, every law by which nature operates was
created within the framework of this creation. All things!
