Slow planning for your future is important. And investing is important. However, there are
some investments that may entice you that will result in loss. While you can make money
in investments, you can also LOSE money in them. There is a certain amount of risk with
each investment. Some are very low. For example, putting money in a saving account
yields a low rate of interest, but the investment is fairly safe. You probably will not lose
your investment. However, investing in the stock market is a bit more risky. If you
purchase stock at a certain rate, and the rate goes down, you may lose a portion or even all of your
money. The risk is much higher.

When you invest, there are some positive things you should do which we have looked at. However,
there are some things you should NEVER do when making an investment. We want to share with you
today what God thinks about investing, and offer you some cautions about investing so that you can
avoid losing any of your hard earned money.

16.3 Here are some other verses on investing….

Prov 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes
                          it grow.

Proverbs 10:4 Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

                          Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 ESV
Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, or even to
eight, for you know not what disaster may happen on earth. If the clouds are full of rain, they empty
themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls,
there it will lie. He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. As
you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not
know the work of God who makes everything. ...

Proverbs 22:7 ESV The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
