record about each event; we will see all the events in order. We will find details that one writer left out,
but another included, and we will get the fuller picture.

As we view the gospels in harmony, sometimes we will note that some fine
details differ between the writers. That does not mean that there are errors
between them. Each writer observed the events from his perspective and each
writer wrote to emphasize a unique characteristic about the Messiah, so what
they emphasized differed slightly. For example, when Jesus and the disciples
traveled across to Sea of Galilee to Gadera, Matthew, Mark, and Luke describe
encountering a demonic. Matthew says there were two men who came who
were possessed of demons, but Mark and Luke talk about only one of the two
men. Matthew gives a short description of the event, while Mark and Luke,
especially Mark, give many more details about the confrontation of Jesus with
the demons. All three describe how the demons were cast into the swine. All
three are one hundred percent accurate in the details they give, but each gives
more details or a different perspective on those details. It all goes to show you that each of the gospel
writers were unique in their presentation.
