Thermodynamics were fully enacted as a result of sin, especially the 2 Law of Entropy. Later we will
study these laws in more detail, but basically all creation started dying. God’s creation began to “groan”
as the systems in the bodies began to fail. Animals and plants began to die. Adam and Eve began to age
and their bodies began to break down and become weaker. Eventually their bodies ceased to function,
and they died. They sinned, and passed the nature to sin to all their progeny.
The Fall of Man
In just a few generations from Adam and Eve, mankind’s heart turned from God to practice
wickedness continually.
Genesis 6: 5-8
5 The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the

thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the
earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from

the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I
have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. (ESV)

The Flood
As a result of mankind’s continual wickedness, God decides to destroy
all living things off the face of the earth, but preserve Noah and his
family, and two of every kind of animal living. For over 100 years, Noah
constructed an ark for the salvation of man and animal. Then God sent
a flood that covered the entire earth. It came suddenly and with
