1 Peter 2:9 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s
OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness
into His marvelous light…
Revelation 1:6 …and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the
glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
John 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world,
but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
John 17:15-19 I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They
are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You
sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they
themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
John 18:36 “My kingdom is not of this world,” said Jesus. “If My kingdom were of this world, my servants
would fight, so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jews. As it is, my kingdom does not have its origin
here.”
1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of
the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the
boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its
lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
How can believers be in the world, but not of the world?
