 The Qur'an gives the example of Noah's unbelieving son as evidence to support the
disownment of a family member if they convert from Islam.
• "And Noah called upon his Lord, and said: 'O my Lord! surely my son is of
my family! and Thy promise is true, and Thou art the justest of Judges!' He
said: 'O Noah! He is not of thy family: For his conduct is unrighteous. So ask
not of Me that of which thou hast no knowledge! I give thee counsel, lest
thou act like the ignorant!'" - Hud 11:45-46
• Often one's family ties are severed and that person is ostracized.
 Shari'a Law, along with the traditions, prescribe death for apostates.
• Muhammad commanded death for apostates.12
• A man is killed for converting to Islam from Judaism, and then back to
Judaism.13
• A man bows in submission to Islam after hearing Muhammad recite the
Satanic Verses, but later recants and is killed "as an unbeliever".14

Be aware that when a Muslim makes a decision to put their faith in Christ, they have counted the cost
beforehand.
