P. 17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for power of God it is unto salvation to all who believe, to the Jew first
and Greek. For righteousness of God in it has been revealed out of faith unto faith, just as it is written,
“Now the righteous, out of faith they will live.”
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ which powerfully grants salvation and righteousness before God
to all those who trust in Him.
For the wrath of God has been revealed from heaven upon all godlessness and wickedness of men those
who the truth by unrighteousness are suppressing, because the knowledge of God is plain in them; for God
has been himself plain to them. For his unseen things from creation of world to those things made being
understood are seen clearly, namely his eternal power and divine nature, so that they are without excuse,
because knowing God not as God did they glorify or give thanks, but they became empty in their thoughts
and their senseless hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise they were made foolish and they exchanged
the glory of the immortal God in image for a mortal form of man and birds and animals and reptiles.
God’s wrathful judgment rightly falls on those you reject His revelation of Himself and worship what He
created over Him.
Wherefore God gave them over by the desires of their hearts into impurity of the degrading of their bodies
in them who exchanges the truth of God in the lie and worshipped and served the creation over the
creator, who is blessed unto the ages, amen. On account of this God gave them over into disgraceful
passions, for their females exchanged the natural function unto the against nature function, likewise also
the males leaving behind the natural use of the females became enflamed in their passions unto one
another, males with males the shameless acts working and the punishment which was necessary of their
error in themselves receiving. And just as they did not think to have God in knowledge, God gave them
over into a corrupted mind, to do the things not proper, having become filled with all unrighteousness, evil,
greed, depravity, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, meanness, gossip, slander, hating God, insolent,
arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, senseless, untrustworthy, inhuman,
unmerciful; who the decree of God knowing that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not
only do them but also approve of those who practice them.
God’s means of judgment on those who have willfully rejected Him has been to allow them to be captured
by and enslaved to their own unrighteous desires.
