               A kiss better with time

               Tshepang Mabe

               The misty ebony bliss
A silent kiss or at least I could describe
Breath taking glimpse and a sudden hiss,
like Adam I seem to have forsaken the butter grain I deemed was once broken
I live for mutters of leathered ripped skin on mine, gliding in cascades of affection
               and gloom
drawn to hue I am, born of glue through time a mirror that once pierced deep in
line, flesh then blood and vein turned scar.
Imbedded in fragile pieces of rigid men a mile
I yearned for you this time
Shortcomings lay dominant in the kind or is it by fate,
               that has slightly eclipsed
in the presence of the hereafter-math with enviable taste,
a lingering reality in your dreams,
those who give to this art with their souls exposed.
It is not the power of the word
but rather the power granted to the word she muttered.
A guinea pig of cupid's wild imagination I suppose,
a giggle out of line and a brief leathered gaze.
How could one resist the dazzling charm,
possessed by those who choose you and use you to get laid?
Maybe Spring will come with more guilt than pleasure
and a smooth sail a service mine could render.
               Executed by lethal infection
the moments become vivid memories painted in braille.
               But please beware,
               here she lies from leisure,
               save her mindless pleasure,
               her heart steals time,
for her lips on mine are still tender…
