               Within a Blink

               Nelly Mathebula

I always wondered how the world,

               Would stop without being torn,

It made me think, for the world is too

               Thick within.

I was puzzled as I scrabbled through,

The misty mistery.it never made sense,

But tension, on attention through detail.

               Confusion murdered to boredomness,

Covid came to kick in and the mystery,

               Was turned into boiling misery.

It came reckless within a blink,

A shut down to lock down the wonder,

               Of my pondering.

Shunning the goals yet keeping the,

Dream to strive, after al it’s only a restful blink.

We are locked to be independent,

               Sanitized for boldness,
