Tested to fit for survival as we stand for,
The individuality of amandla wo buntu,
For together we stand, Yes knocking down;
The lockdown.
We are tough within a blink as we think,
Locked down not torn out, jubilant through
The unjust, yet greatly grieving here and there,
Yes within a blink.
Like the black hats reaching out the skies,
The beating sound of the drum,
Bese umdali ehleke nathi.
We are hoping and knowing that this too,
Shall come to pass, yes within a blink of an eye.
