         SALINTUBIG PROJECT IN CANAMAN,
                          NOW COMPLETED FROM PAGE 1

The SALINTUBIG project aims to pursue its commitment to provide water, particularly for the poor and
waterless communities. It stems from the responsibilities of the Department of the Interior and Local Government
(DILG), through the Office of Project Development Services (OPDS), in partnership with DILG Regional Offices
(ROs) and Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) in the implementation of the Provision of Potable Water
     Supply – SALINTUBIG Program.
As part of the General Appropriations Act (GAA), the Program provides grant financing and capacity
development to increase communities’ access to water and sanitation services and improve capacities of the
Local Government Units (LGUs) and Water Service Providers (WSPs), in the planning, implementation, and
management of water supply facilities in a sustainable manner. Specifically, through the grant received by LGU
Canaman, the municipality partnered with MNWD in the realization of the said project with a counterpart budget
allocation of P1,336,185.86 for the required labor works.
MNWD’s partnership in SALINTUBIG projects create great positive change to the lives of many. As a result
of these waterline extensions, more residents will now be able to enjoy safe and potable water in their homes. LGU Canaman partnered with MNWD for the installation
