Back to an early stage of semi-consciousness
Where memory is nothing but a player of tricks
And pain lasts no longer than its mere sensation?
The answer lies hidden at the end of a path
Forking quickly away from this crucial crossroads,
So recently the scene of my greatest triumph—
Now the point of departure from all that I knew.
WOMAN 4: (reappears on right) Hey, come on! We’ve got a chance
to escape without being seen!
UTOPIAN: Yes, dear. (they exit right)
