I cannot relate what happened next. It is too sickening to describe. I
can only hope he died quickly. Captain Casimir fired three shots in
the air when Doctor Lamb next turned his wrath on me. The
advancing mob stopped in its tracks and I left the deck quickly. I
locked myself in here and waited. After what felt like an eternity the
ship’s engines were brought back up to a full head of steam and we
continued in to the Pierhead.

Casimir knocked on my cabin door again just now. The men have
gone ashore. Tomorrow I must settle up with them, including Oleg
Lamb. It will not be easy.
