           In another periodical  I perused  the sermons of the rabbis,  who
        spoke about nearly everything except nationalism. They spoke about
        how to attain success, about how to behave at the table, etc., etc., so
        that one would never know they were written by Jews, except for the
        signatures.
           I can easily conclude why these Jews disappeared from history, as
        they  lived  in  the  present  only,  and  thought  nothing  of  the  future.
        They lost their Jewish modesty: in their editorials I see boastfulness,
        love of money and luxuries, card parties, banquets, and dances. I will
        leave here soon, as there is no use of further investigation; they have
        left behind no deeds that live.
