“Coming, master,” he grated ingratiatingly in his Phrygian accent.
“I have just remembered an interesting story your children might
enjoy, master. All about a—a tortoise who doesn’t appear to move
very fast at all, but he gets into a race with a hare, and—”
“Never mind that now. I’d like a few fresh figs with my breakfast,
so hop on it.”
