Dover. The ensuing publicity has prompted one member of
Congress, Ernestine Rosenzweig (D-NY) to call for hearings into the
transfer of Tripwire arms and ammunition to Iraq prior to the
Persian Gulf War and the merits of continuing to award military
procurement contracts to Polygon subsidiaries.
The Times was unable to reach a Polygon spokesperson for
comment on this development. It is safe to say, however, that none
of the parties involved—Holden, La Manza, Sirocco, Polygon, and
other shadowy figures in the background—will come out of this
affair with reputations untarnished.
