SYNOPSIS
Maggie and Kata manage to escape the circus and meet
up with an acquaintance of one of the sailors they met during the voyage – a man named Harvey Birch. He promises to take them to Canada, warning that Florenzo will be on
their trail.
They slowly travel through the wilderness and after several near-misses with Florenzo and his men, they join the Underground Railroad and journey further across the country.
However, they are captured once again by Florenzo and his men, and reunited with Maggie’s father, and finally Maggie learns the truth: Florenzo’s sister, Elizabeth, was Victor Frankenstein’s adopted sister, and he blames the monster for her death.
Florenzo threatens them all with death, when the monster
– Kata’s father – appears at last. A great struggle ensues – Kata rescues Maggie, and the monster saves them both from Florenzo, killing himself and Florenzo in the process.
Maggie and Kata, safe at last, find refuge with the friends they met on the Underground Railroad, and start a new life together with their new family.
