It’s pretty much guaranteed that whatever nasties you’ve ever eaten, nothing matches some of the delicacies that the ancient Egyptians used to enjoy such as Pigeons and Gazelles!
Do not adjust your eyes: you read that right.
Needless to say, pigeons and gazelles weren’t the standard types of grub for most ancient Egyptians. The staple diet of both the rich and poor was based on bread, vegetables and fish, and depending how wealthy the family was, meat and poultry.
