 FANCY THAT!
Because sieges could last a long time, many castle builders tried to prepare by building secret tunnels that led under the castle walls so supplies could be sneaked in without the enemy knowing. It was really handy if the other end of the tunnel came out in a supermarket car park.
There would be supplies kept inside the castle just in case of sieges, but they wouldn’t last for ever. Sieges could last months or even years and eventually the grub ran out, which was when the defenders had to take drastic action. Horses would end up on the menu, followed by cats and dogs (sorry pets) and then rats, creepy-crawlies and grass.
Why is that guy looking at us and licking his lips?
I´m not sure, but something tells me it´s time to find that secret tunnel.
Makes you think twice about grumbling about Dad’s latest dinner concoction, doesn’t it? Unless he’s serving you spiders on toast followed by next door’s poodle.
To make things even worse for the poor peeps inside the castle, attackers would catapult all sorts over the walls. We’re talking sewage, dead bodies or even severed heads! The aim was to spread disease and make people feel rEaLlY grossed out, which worked on both counts, especially if you were allergic to severed heads.
 Who are you?
 I´m no body.

I hope your jokes were funnier when you were alive.
