       Recipe for Easy Peasy Apple Tart You will need:
  Baking tray Greaseproof paper Sharp knife
Glass bowl
Lemon squeezer Pastry brush
375 g packet of rolled puff pastry 5 large eating apples such as Cox’s or Russets
Juice of 1 lemon
25 g butter, melted
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of caster sugar
3 tablespoons of apricot jam
The lemon juice stops the apples from going brown!
      1 Heat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/Gas Mark 7.
2 Put the pastry on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
3 Peel, core and thinly slice the apples and lightly toss them in a
glass bowl with the lemon juice.
4 Arrange the apple slices over the pastry but leave 2 cm of
pastry showing at the edges.
5 Melt the butter on the hob or in the microwave and mix in the
vanilla extract.
6 Pour this mixture on to the apples.
7 Sprinkle the tart with caster sugar.
8 Bake for 15–20 minutes until the apples are tender
and the pastry is crisp.
9 Melt the jam on a gentle heat and then brush it
over the apples.
10 Serve warm with vanilla ice
cream for a yummy autumnal dessert!
