     Make an Orange Bird Feeder
These are very easy and fun to make. And the best thing is, you can make yourself a tasty treat, too! Ask an adult to help you cut the oranges in half and then use a juicer or squeezer to make some delicious fresh orange juice. Put it in the fridge and enjoy it as a reward once you have finished making these pretty feeders.
You will need:
Shallow oven dish Wooden spoon Empty orange halves Saucepan
Bird seeds
Raisins
Unsalted nuts Unsalted nut butter or dairy butter or lard
1 Pour the seeds, fruit and/or nuts into the dish and give them a good stir with the wooden spoon. 2 Scoop up a handful of the bird food and press
it into the orange halves.
3 Ask an adult to help you melt the fat or spread
you have chosen to use.
4 Pour the melted fat or spread into the orange
cups.
5 Use the wooden spoon to gently pat the
mixture down into the orange cups. Let it solidify. 6 Put them on the bird table or windowsill.
