  fantastic fruit Kebabs
This is fruit salad . . . on a stick! It’s so much fun to eat, particularly at a picnic!
You will need:
wooden skewers strawberries
orange
mango pineapple
kiwi (white centre removed)
15 minutes
Makes as many as you like!
Ask a grown-up to help you chop all the fruit into 2-3 cm chunks. You can cut soft fruit with a table knife.
Now thread your fruit on to your skewers. Be careful of the sharp end of the skewer. You may need your grown- up to help you get started so you don’t poke your hand.
See how many great patterns you can make with all the different coloured fruit. If
you are using coconut too, sprinkle it on a plate and roll your skewers in the flakes.
Before you share your fruit kebabs with friends, ask your grown-up to cut off the sharp end of the skewers. This will make them even more fun
to eat!
melon (cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon — or all three!)
50 g desiccated coconut (optional) peaches or nectarines (stones removed)
grapes (for children under six, grapes should be cut in half vertically)
