Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
Why not make a tea party garden? A cracked
teapot and chipped teacups will make perfect plant pots! The cracks and chips will let the water drain out. And old sun hats make brilliant hanging gardens. With your grown-up’s help, poke a few holes in an old plastic bag and line the hat. Then fill it with soil and plants and hang it up outside.
Plant Pots for the Planet
The best way to help the planet is to reduce, reuse and recycle, so why not get creative and use other old objects in your home for plant pots too? From sinks to sandboxes and cans to colanders, plants will grow happily in just about anything! As long as they have drainage holes and good soil, everything from recycled bottles to muffin tins
will work . . . so once they’ve finished their original job, help them make a new home for a plant!
