You will need:
a small trowel
cracked/chipped teapots or teacups
a watering can
plants
potting soil
a window box
garden mesh
old welly boots, any size a hammer
a small nail
an old hat
an old plastic bag
Small Space, Big Fun!
Even if you don’t have a garden, there are still plenty of ways to get growing. From window boxes to welly boots, you can grow plants almost anywhere!
Window Box Wow
Ask a grown-up to add some holes to the bottom of a window box to let water drain out. Cover the holes with garden mesh and attach the box to a wall or windowsill. Then fill the box with soil and get planting!
Growing Shoots in Welly Boots
If you have some old welly boots, don’t throw them away. Turn them into plant pots instead! Ask your grown-up to help you poke holes in the soles of the boots by tapping a nail through with a hammer. Then fill with soil and your favourite plants.
