Now make your furniture. Flat stones make good tables. If you have a helpful grown-up, you can ask them to saw a thicker branch into small flat circles for tables and chairs. The best beds are made of leaves or soft moss. Large flower petals make beautiful blankets.
Gnomes and elves need to eat too, and nature makes perfect bowls and cups for them! If you have some acorns, pull off the little tops and turn them upside down. You could even carefully drip a bit of water into them, in case the gnomes are thirsty.
Once you’re finished, let your local gnomes and elves discover their new home
overnight. Tiptoe back quietly the next morning – you may find that you’ve had
some magical visitors in the night!
