Ask a grown-up to preheat the oven to 160°C, 140°C fan or gas mark 3.
With your grown-up’s help, peel your apples. You can also leave the peels on if you prefer – it’s up to you! Then ask your grown-up to slice them and remove the cores.
For the filling, place the apple slices in an even layer in a baking dish. Add your berries on top, then sprinkle over the sugar, lemon juice and ground cinnamon.
For the crumble, rub the butter, sugar, flour and oats together in a small bowl with your fingers to make a fine, crumbly mixture.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the fruit and ask a grown-up to put it on the middle shelf of the oven. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the apples are soft when poked with a fork.
Allow the crumble to cool slightly before serving, as
it will be very hot. Adding cream or ice cream will help it cool faster and make it taste extra delicious!
